Talking about the technical specifications, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be powered by the same 648cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine, which also powers the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. It is good for a maximum power of 46.8 HP @ 7150 rpm along with a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch as standard. The brand is expected to tune the power output of the engine to suit the characteristics of a cruiser motorcycle.

Some of the key hardware components of the upcoming RE motorcycle include the likes of upside-down (USD) front forks, a twin exhaust system, front and rear disc brakes, a dual-channel ABS unit, and the 650cc motorcycle will most probably also get Bluetooth connectivity and a turn-by-turn navigation system. In terms of pricing, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 3.50 lakhs to INR 3.75 lakhs.
