Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650’s first service details and charges have surfaced online, and it starts with an oil change. It involves emptying the old oil, switching out the oil filter, and adding 3.1 litres of new 10W-50 synthetic oil. The service expert then cleans the brake pads before using compressed air to clean the air filter. As part of the initial service, they also examine the chain and change the tension.
The cost of performing the service is rather affordable when you take into account the Super Meteor 650’s pricing. The price of the oil that was put into the engine was Rs 2,012, and the price of the oil filter was Rs 450. The price of the parts increased to Rs 2,720 when you add the cost of the chain cleaner and lubrication, which is Rs 258. The service cost of the Interceptor 650 from Royal Enfield is exactly the same as this.
It was free and there were no labour fees because this was the initial service. But as “consumable charges for service” the service centre levies a fee of Rs 118. The total cost for the Super Meteor 650’s initial service was Rs 2,836. Besides these fees, labour costs for disc brake air bleeding were Rs 251.
The labour cost to remove, check, and reinstall the front wheel is Rs. 756. While it costs more to do the same for the rear wheel, at Rs. 1,353. This is because to remove the wheel, the technician must first remove the left exhaust. All in all, the owner may choose to have the wheels balanced at their discretion.
