Say Hello To The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – New Spy Shots

For quite some time, Royal Enfield has been working on the Himalayan 450. The new motorcycle will follow in the footsteps of its 411cc sibling. In India, it will be marketed as an adventure tourer, competing with the BMW G310GS and the KTM 390 Adventure. Following the discovery of the exhaust design a few days ago, new spy shots reveal the side view.

The Himalayan 450’s updates are expected to make it more capable off-road and more relaxed on-road. The new motorcycle gets significantly broader seats to accommodate riders of all frames and sizes, according to the latest spy shots from the UK obtained by Motorcycle News.

It is also expected to get more comfortable cushioning to provide riders with more support and comfort. This will also ensure that riders can ride longer on a single stretch before needing to take a break, enhancing the Himalayan 450’s touring capabilities.

Rider’s triangle appears to be superior to Himalayan 411. This will help the rider on daily commutes and highway runs. The pillion seat appears to be an upgrade as well, as it appears to be wider and more cushioned than the Himalayan 411. The position of the rear footpegs and the large grab handle beneath them will also be appreciated by the pillion.

Himalayan will be equipped with a larger 450cc single-cylinder oil-cooled petrol engine with an overhead camshaft. It is expected to produce more power and torque than the Himalayan 411. The final production version of the Himalayan 450 will be slightly larger than the outgoing Himalayan 411, as well as slightly heavier due to the larger engine.

Even though Royal Enfield hasn’t confirmed it, we can expect a strong suspension, a capable engine, a stiff chassis, and long-lasting components. Royal Enfield may even consider more off-road-friendly components, as Hero does with its Xpulse 200 through the Rally Kit. When it is released, it will compete with the more road-oriented KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310GS, and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 300.
