Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Registers 31% Sales Growth in India

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 registered 4,949 units in April 2019, posting an overall growth of 31% in comparison to the sales number of 3,772 units in April 2018. The motorcycle recently got a price hike as it gained ABS along with the other important features and still registered higher than ever sales number falling on its side. The number of units helped Thunderbird series gain the third spot in the brand lineup.

Only the Bullet and Classic series posted bigger numbers, that too as the starting price range for the former and latter is considerably lower. The 346cc, single cylinder engine on all the Royal Enfield bikes is good for 20 HP of maximum power and 28 Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

RE Thunderbird 350 is a direct rival to Jawa 300, with both bikes using dual channel ABS and retro-modern instrument consoles. Thunderbird 350 can also be had with the 350X moniker, adding black alloy wheels and vibrant colours to the fuel tank.

The motorcycle follows cruiser-style body language with 90/90-19 front and 120/80-18 rear tire. The front wheel offers 130mm of travel while the rear gets restricted to just 80mm. The availability of dual disc brakes started from this variant only as swingarm from the Thunderbird series made its way into all the 2019 Royal Enfield motorcycles.
