Upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield Motorcycles Spotted Undisguised – Report

As we have reported earlier, Royal Enfield is working on multiple new 650cc motorcycles for the Indian market. In one of the latest leaks, the undisguised pictures of two new upcoming products have leaked online.

The photos you see here are the screenshots from the brand’s official video – #90South, which has been recently uploaded on the YouTube channel wherein the brand showcased one of their workshops. The bikes can be seen parked at the entrance of the workshop.

One of the bikes appears to be the 650cc Shotgun which was recently showcased as a concept model (SG650) at the 2021 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, whereas, the second model is expected to be named Super Meteor 650.

The Shotgun and Super Meteor are expected to be launched at a price range of around Rs 3.50 lakhs. In comparison, the Royal Enfield INT 650 and CGT 650 are available at Rs 2.81 lakhs and Rs 2.98 lakhs respectively.

Apart from that, the Super Meteor is expected to have a complete retro-look which will include a round LED headlamp, rearview mirrors, LED taillights, a tall windscreen, broad rear fenders and disc brake on both ends assisted by ABS. In addition to that, the instrument console profile of the Cruiser could be similar to Meteor. It can also get things like a USB charger, a navigation system, and a new range of connectivity features.

Talking about the 648cc engine, it will be inspired by the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The parallel-twin, oil-cooled engine in collaboration with a 6-speed gearbox generates 47 horsepower and a max torque of 52-newton metres. The upcoming bikes can be seen equipped with upside-down forks at the front while the rear gets twin-shock absorbers. The Super Meteor will become the first-ever bike in the brand’s range to carry USD forks.

In one of the other latest updates, the manufacturing of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 variant and Hunter 350 is under process. Scram 411 was recently spotted in Goa and the Hunter 350 was leaked during the telecast about Project 90 South.
