Updated Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted with a Single-Piece Seat

Updated Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted: Royal Enfield officially launched the 2021 model of the Himalayan adventure motorcycle in India back on February 11 this year with a starting on-road price tag of INR 2.36 lakhs. To our surprise, an updated version of the motorcycle has been spotted testing once again and it is not yet clear why the brand is testing a product that recently got a bunch of major updates.

In comparison to the present-gen model, visually there are no major changes except for the single-piece seat and that the raised front mudguard is missing on the test mule. For now, it would be safe to assume that Royal Enfield could be testing something new related to the engine or other mechanicals or it could simply be endurance testing to make sure that the motorcycle has no issues like the first-gen version.

To jog your memory, the 2021 model of RE Himalayan is available in three new colours: Mirage Silver, Pine Green, and an updated version of the Granite Black shade. With the introduction of these three colours, Royal Enfield has discontinued the Snow White, Sleet Grey, and the plain version of the Granite Black colour option. In addition to the three new colour options, the MY2021 Himalayan continues to be available in Lake Blue, Rock Red, and Gravel Grey.

Mechanically, there are no changes and the MY2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan continues to be powered by the same 411cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 24.3 Bhp @ 6500 rpm with a peak torque of 32Nm @ 4000-4500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
