When it comes to massive numbers, the 100cc-125cc segment brings the majority of sales for the Indian market. The versatile products, especially the first few, are individually selling higher than most brands of the country, registering record-breaking numbers for their segment. Hero Splendor is the highest selling motorcycle of all time, getting 2,85,508 units in sales chart for September 2018. Hero HF Deluxe is following the footsteps of the Splendor, registering 2,01,240 units during the same period. Apart from these two, no other motorcycle was able to break the five-digit barrier. Hero Passion scored 95,057 units while Bajaj CT100 was good for 89,387 units.
Hero Glamour and Honda CB Shine scored impressive numbers, even after bring more expensive than all others listed here. Bajaj Platina, Honda Dream, TVS Sport, TVS Star City, Honda Livo, Bajaj Discover and TVS Victor, all were good for five-digit sales number. TVS Radeon and Yamaha Saluto scored four-digit number while remaining three had non-existent numbers in comparison to all others. Hero is the highest selling commuter brand while Bajaj, Honda, and TVS are remaining three options for buyers who need something different from the Splendor and HF Deluxe duo. Yamaha and Suzuki are yet to make some difference in this segment.
