Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has launched the all new Suzuki Access 125 @ INR 53,887 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February. The new Suzuki Access 2015 has undergone quite a few cosmetic changes, and received Suzuki’s acclaimed Eco-performance rig improving the scooter’s fuel efficiency by almost 20%.
The Access 2016 derives power from a revised 125cc air-cooled engine fitted with SEP technology, capable of producing a max power of 8.58 BHP @ 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 NM @ 5000 rpm. The engine set up is paired to a CVT gearbox. Coming to the suspension, the scooter gets a telescopic unit at the front, and swing arm type rear.
Main highlights of the 2016 Suzuki Access include, longest seat in class, largest under-seat storage front pocket, larger floorboard, Suzuki Easy Start System and an optional DC socket. It also features a digital-analog information cluster fitted with an analog speedometer and digital fuel gauge plus odometer. The scooter also gets alloy wheels (12 inch front and a 10 inch rear wheel), 3D emblem and a chrome finished headlight. Customers will also get the option of an additional front disc brake.
In terms of dimensions, the 2016 Suzuki Access 125 measures 1,870 mm in length, 655 mm in width, 1,160 mm in height. It stretches across a wheelbase of 1,265 mm. The Access 125 weighs 102 Kg (kerb weight) and offers a ground clearance of 160mm. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5.6 litres. The Access will be sold in 5 color variants namely; Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue,, Pearl Mirage White, Candy Sonoma Red , Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray.
