2018 Suzuki GSX-R1000 & GSX-R1000R Gets New Colors: Suzuki recently unveiled new colors for GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R internationally. Mechanically, both the bikes are identical to the 2017 version.
Standard GSX-R1000 now comes in white paint scheme with blue wheels and matte black with blue inserts. When it comes to GSX-R1000R, the bike is now available in same white scheme with different body panels and blue forks. Another shade on offer is gloss black with grey graphics and blue wheels.
Presently, Indian market has glass sparkle blue, metallic triton blue and matt black with red inserts. GSX-R1000 is priced at INR 19 lakh while GSX-R1000R costs INR 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
Suzuki equips the liter class motorcycle with 999.8cc, four cylinder engine producing 202 HP @ 13,200 rpm and 117.6 Nm @ 10,800 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Riders who are planning to switch from the basic to R version, Suzuki adds better suspension and more electronic features on the track spec model. Top speed for GSX-R1000 is 300 kmph while the bike weighs just 202 kg.
Suzuki’s signature design stayed the same from last few generations. Single headlight looks awesome while air intakes have been redesigned when compared to last few generations.
