2018 Suzuki Swish 125 India Launch @ Auto Expo: New Swish 125 scooter was recently revealed at Tokyo Motor Show. Indian model was discontinued due to implementation of BS4 norms and most reports claim that Suzuki will launch the all-new model for sure in the country @ 2018 Auto Expo in February.
The changes are huge when compared to the old model as its handlebar mounted headlight has now moved on to the lower section. Not just that, the headlight on the scooter is now inspired from GSX series and looks massive in front of scooters with conventional headlight position.
The integrated turn indicators further help them create a design that successfully leaves Honda Dio, Yamaha Ray ZR and all other of this segment behind. Honda’s recently unveiled Grazia would be their target rival as both will carry a 125cc engine and that too with design that beats everyone else on the charts.
Features on the all new 2018 Suzuki Swish includes 10-inch alloy wheels, front disc brake and all-digital instrument console. They are offering full LED lighting with both headlight and taillight carrying the advanced technology.
A sporty exhaust, much desirable rear end and host of practical features make Swish the most premium upcoming scooter in its segment. Exact mechanical details for the engine were not revealed while one could safely assume the use of highly efficient, tried and tested engine from Access 125. Expected pricing for the same could fall anywhere around INR 55,000-60,000, that too depending on the number of features on offer.
India spec Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc, single cylinder engine producing 8.58 BHP at 7000 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5000 rpm. The engine comes mated to an automatic gearbox and claims 102 kg of wet weight. Suzuki will try sharing most parts with this model to keep the overall costs lower than rival models.
