2019 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and R1000R are now available with the much awaited minor updates that were pending from a long time. The motorcycle is now available with adjustable swingarm pivot, stainless steel brake hoses, quickshifter (on GSX-R1000), Bridgestone RS11 tires, black exhaust with well-designed heat shield and all-new paint schemes. The addition of components have added more value to the standard variant but, the shade selection and placement have made it less stunning than the earlier version. The Black/White paint scheme leaves many visible design lines hidden on the standard variant, looking certainly basic for a motorcycle of its class.
The forks are black and panels under the seat are finished white. On the other hand, the GSX-R1000R comes with impressive paint finish with MotoGP Edition paint scheme and golden USD forks. The 2019 variants of GSX-R1000 series starts from £13,699 and goes up to £16,299 for the higher variant. The expensive version weighs 1 kilogram less in comparison to the other one, with both producing equally impressive 202 HP of max power. The seat height for such an impressive machine is 825 mm. The new models will enter the dealerships in 2019, most probably around the mid of next fiscal.
Suzuki GSX-R1000R is currently available in India for INR 19.80 lakh. The price tag makes it an expensive option in comparison to affordable superbike options like Honda CBR1000RR and Kawasaki ZX-10R. The brand has officially discontinued the R1000 from India, leaving buyers with an option to consider just the top-spec variant. Once the 2019 variant becomes official, it is highly possible that they bring back the standard model and price it even better than most other products. GSX-R1000R uses a single headlight design, making it one among rare sportbikes to leave the twin headlight design behind for something unique.
