The 2019 Suzuki GSX250R has been launched in Japan at a price tag of JPY 5,27,040 (INR 3.35 lakh). The brand has also launched the MotoGP edition of the updated sports bike for JPY 5,38,920 (INR 3.43 lakh). The bike has not been offered any mechanical changes and the MY2019 GSX250R gets two new colour schemes namely: Crystal Blue Metallic-Pearl Nevlar Black and Pearl Gresher White-Pearl Nevlar Black. The Pearl Nevlar Black colour option has been retained and the motorcycle is now available in 4 colours including the MotoGP edition.
The 2019 Suzuki GSX250R MotoGP edition, probably the most preferred colour by the fans across the world has been offered new body graphics that make the bike look sportier. The deliveries for two new colour options will commence from July 18 in Japan while the customers going for the MotoGP Edition will get their deliveries from July 26, 2019. As of now, Suzuki has no plans to launch the twin-cylinder GSX250R in India as they want to concentrate on the recently launched single-cylinder Gixxer SF 250.
Powering the 2019 Suzuki GSX250R is the same 248cc SOHC 2-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 24 HP and a peak torque of 22 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension duties on the GSX250R are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear of the motorcycle features a monoshock.
The MY2019 GSX250R features LED headlight and taillight. The bike’s weight stands at 178 kgs while the seat height remains the same at 790mm. The updated GSX250R retains the all-digital instrument console with a gear position indicator and shift light. The bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres while the 160mm of ground clearance is enough to handle it well on every terrain.
