2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Officially Teased; Launch on 5th February

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Officially Teased: The wait is over! Suzuki has officially released a teaser video of the 2021 model of Hayabusa sports motorcycle. As revealed in the 25-second teaser video, the 2021 Hayabusa will launch in the international markets on February 5 while the India launch is expected to take place later this year. Here is the official teaser video:

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Officially Teased

Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most popular and most-talked-about motorcycles around the globe. With the implementation of stricter emission norms, the last-gen model of the sportbike got discontinued globally including the Indian markets back in early 2020. It was powered by a BS4-compliant 1340cc, four-cylinder engine, producing 200HP of maximum power and 155Nm of peak torque.

The power output values were good enough to propel the 268kg motorcycle from a standstill to 100kph in just 3 seconds. The top speed of the last-gen model was limited to 299kph on the stock version while the unrestricted versions were able to touch 312kph with ease. The last-gen Suzuki Hayabusa was available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 13.75 lakhs before being discontinued in India.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Features More Edgy Design Profile in Comparison to the Last-Gen Model

Coming back to the upcoming model, the reports suggest the 2021 variant of Suzuki Hayabusa to feature an upgraded and more powerful 1440cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which will replace the last-gen 1340cc engine. The higher displacement has been specifically offered to keep the overall performance under check as upgrading to meet newer emission norms tend to reduce the power and torque figures.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is Expected to Retain the Bulky Rear Profile

Since the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is expected to get an updated engine, one can expect the sportbike to feature a redesigned chassis that will further accommodate the new motor. We can safely assume the 2021 model to become lighter and faster in comparison to the last-gen model. As one can judge from the teaser video, the next-gen version features the iconic Hayabusa styling in addition to an improved version of the legendary multi-dial digital-analogue instrument console.

Once launched, the new model of Suzuki Hayabusa would be competing with the likes of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, and the litre-class superbikes like Yamaha R1, Honda CBR1000RR-R, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Ducati Panigale V4, and the BMW S1000RR.
