Mechanically, the bikes are powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine which is now BS6-compliant and produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm along with 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. In comparison to the BS4 variant, there is a 0.4Nm drop in the peak torque but now it comes in 200 rpm earlier.

The peak power of the bike, however, remains unchanged but it is now delivered 300 rpm later. Despite the upgrade to the BS6 emission norms, the weight of both the bikes remains the same. Suzuki Gixxer 250 weighs 156kg whereas the weight of the SF 250 stands at 161kg.

The 250cc Gixxer series will continue with the same colour options as they were available in BS4 variants. It will be available in silver and black colour options while its fully-faired sibling will continue with the additional MotoGP edition with Suzuki Blue colour scheme.
