Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Becomes the Best-Selling 250cc Bike in India

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 has successfully claimed itself to be the bestselling 250cc model in India. The motorcycle overtook the sales number of Yamaha FZ25, KTM 250 Duke, and the Honda CBR250R. The motorcycle registered 1,526 units in May 2019, leaving others behind by a huge margin.

The Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249cc, single cylinder engine, producing 26.5 HP of maximum power. The motorcycle is priced at INR 1.71 lakh, taking care of the buyers with just Yamaha FZ and Fazer undercutting the same in terms of price. The best part for the Gixxer here is the use of dual-channel ABS to keep the riders safe while intense braking.

The Yamaha FZ (including Fazer) was good for 910 units while the figure served by Honda CBR250R was very low at just 54 units. The KTM 250 Duke stays in the middle with 681 units in May 2019. All the products serve as a great example for balanced use as these return around 30-35 kmpl of mileage in everyday riding conditions.

The upper side of mileage is achieved when riding on the highway while figures can drop with more acceleration in the lower gears. When compared with similarly priced motorcycles, Bajaj Dominar proved itself to be a more tempting choice with 1,888 units sold in May 2019. The motorcycle is available for INR 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
