The India-bound Suzuki SV650 ABS has been recently unveiled in the Japanese markets with three new colour schemes namely Mystic Silver Metallic with blue wheels/frame, Matte Black Metallic with red wheels/frame and Glass Sparkle Black with black wheels/frame.
The brand has equipped the motorcycle with revised colour palettes to impart a fresher look to its MY2020 update. The Suzuki SV650 was earlier available in the markets in Pearl Glacier White with blue wheels/frame, Glass Sparkle Black with blue wheels/frame and All-Grey Metallic with red wheels/frame. Apart from the addition of new colours, the updated motorcycle remains almost identical to its MY2019 counterpart.
The 2020 model of the India-bound Suzuki SV650 ABS features the similar round headlight which imparts it a retro outlook while the fully-digital instrument console and the overall frame of the motorcycle also remain the same. The motorcycle further features the identical slim-seat setup while the rear has been equipped with an LED taillight.
Powering the revised motorcycle is the same 645cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 76.1 HP @ 8500 rpm and an utmost torque of 64 Nm @ 8100 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission. The disc brake setup on the motorcycle remains identical at either side while the dual-channel ABS also remains the same.
The MY2020 Suzuki SV650 ABS is now available in Japan at a price tag of JPY 684,000 (INR 4.64 lakh approx) which is almost identical to the price tag of its BS4 version. The brand is expected to bring the SV650 in the Indian market to get a stronger foothold in the 650cc motorcycle segment. One can expect the motorcycle to be imported onto the Indian shores as CKD units though there is no official confirmation received on the same as of yet.
