A moment of joy for Suzuki India fans, the announcement from Suzuki officials has confirmed a quarter liter fighter from the Gixxer makers. The most expected configuration being a 250cc, liquid-cooled engine, the new motorcycle is expected to carry a 6-speed gearbox and nearly 25-28 BHP of power and 22-25 NM of torque. These are unofficial expected power and torque figures.
Kenji Hirozawa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycles India said, “We are looking at bringing in a more premium, India-specific motorcycle based on the Gixxer which will be between 150cc and 250cc.”
The frame would be most probably altered for the newcomer while front and rear suspensions would be kept the same as the ongoing variant. One of the all-time best performers from Suzuki, the Gixxer was launched in September 2014. The bike sold more than 1 lakh (including exports) Gixxers between April 2015- February 2016.
