Suzuki has unveiled the Bol d’Or edition of the Hayabusa, the company’s latest motorcycle. The Japanese hypersport now has a slew of cosmetic and mechanical updates.
While the Hayabusa’s essence is preserved in the Bol d’Or. It has a new golden and black paint scheme with the Bol d’Or sticker on the side fairing. The windscreen is also larger than the standard model, and the saddle is flatter on the special edition. New rear seat cowl, upgraded front brake and clutch levers, and a shorter tail.
It uses the same 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine. However, the stock exhaust has been replaced with a new Akrapovic unit, which should increase the output slightly. The engine crankcase cover is now made of carbon fibre, and Suzuki will provide owners with a free rug for their motorcycles.
Suzuki Hayabusa Bol d’Or is limited to 100 units and will only be available in France. The limited edition costs EUR 27,499 (approximately Rs 22.45 lakh sans taxes), which is a premium over the standard model. Suzuki India currently only offers the standard trim, which costs Rs 16.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
