The Next-Gen Suzuki Gixxer has been officially launched in India at a price tag of INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Promising a dynamic riding experience and a modernized design language, the 155cc Gixxer has been equipped with a host of appreciable updates. The motorcycle can be availed in the market in three colour schemes: Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver, and Metallic Triton Blue. The newly updated Gixxer 155 competes in the market with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZS V3, and the Honda CB Hornet 160R.
The Next-Gen Suzuki Gixxer features a distinguished LED headlamp design, as well as the Gixxer SF-inspired fuel tank with muscular tank extensions on either side that gives the bike an overall rugged look. The motorcycle has been equipped with a new LED tail lamp while the bike features a split-seat setup in contrast to the single-seat saddle offered on its previous model. The split seat and the instrument console seems to be borrowed from its fully-faired sibling Gixxer SF. The panels across the fuel tank have been offered a darker shade as compared to the rest of the body parts, giving the motorcycle a dual-tone look.
Powering the updated Suzuki Gixxer is a 155cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 14.1 HP at 8000 rpm and an utmost torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension duties on the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear of the bike gets a monoshock absorber. The braking power is offered by disc brakes at either end while the brand offers a single-channel ABS as standard.
