The recent reports further suggest that the motorcycle would be launched as a CKD model and the ex-showroom price tag is expected to hover around INR 17-18 lakhs. In comparison, the last-gen BS4 Suzuki Hayabusa was available in India with a price tag of INR 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is an all-new model in terms of looks and features. It is the most-advanced Hayabusa ever and comes with a long list of electronic features like Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, 6-Axis Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), Power Mode Selector, Anti-lift Control System, Bi-directional Quick Shift System, Engine Brake Control System, Motion Track Traction Control System, Launch Control System, Emergency Stop Signal, Slope Dependent Control System, Active Speed Limiter, Motion Track Brake System, Hill Hold Control System, and Cruise Control.
Mechanically, Suzuki has equipped the next-gen Hayabusa with the same 1340cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which has been updated to meet the Euro5 emission norms, which are equivalent to the BS6 norms. Thanks to stricter emission norms, the new model generates less power and torque at 190 HP and 150 Nm respectively. In comparison, the last-gen model was good for 200 HP and 155 Nm.
