Suzuki all-set to unveil the GSX-R150 on November 2

Suzuki is all-set to unleash the much-awaited GSX-R150 at the 2016 Indonesia Motorcycle Show on November 2. It would be a proper liquid-cooled 150cc sport bike with a fuel-injected engine. The key rivals of Suzuki GSX-R150 are Yamaha YZF-R15 and Honda CBR150R. There are also rumours that Suzuki might also unveil a naked street fighter version to be known as GSX-S150.

The design of Suzuki GSX-R150 would be more or less similar like the recently unveiled GSX-R125. The looks are ultra modern with its neat fairing, LED front headlight with sharp DRL’s around it. The GSX-R150 will also gets a step-up seat like all others in the competition in this segment. GSX-R150 was spotted few days back with fully camouflaged body under its testing phase.

As per the latest details available, GSX-R150 would be powered by the same engine which is powering the Gixxer SF and Gixxer 155 in India. But the motor is expected to go liquid-cooled, with fuel-injection, and would be developing more power and torque in comparison to the Gixxer SF. GSX-R150 would be equipped with front and rear disc brakes, will feature all-digital instrument console, and would come with front telescopic forks and rear mono-shock suspension.

Suzuki GSX-R150 is expected to develop around 17-18 bhp of maximum power with 15-16 nm of maximum torque. It is also being speculated that GSX-R150 would be more powerful than the Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR150R, and it would be a better performer in terms of top speed and 0-60 kmph figure. GSX-R150 will be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.

As of now, there is no word regarding the launch of Suzuki GSX-R150 in India but we feel Suzuki would be bringing it to India by mid-2017 or by the end of next year. It would be competing with the likes of Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR150R. The expected ex-showroom price of Suzuki GSX-R150 is INR 1,20,000 (approximate).
