Suzuki seems ready with a long-term, number enhancing plan for their international lineup. The recently spotted and almost entirely camouflaged motorcycle that Iwanbanaran expects to be Suzuki Bandit 150 is a big reason of worry for their rivals.
Suzuki has two different engines under this category, one being specific to India and another one to the remaining South Asian market. This motorcycle will most probably carry the 149cc engine as Indonesian market already has two products based on this engine category. Suzuki GSX-S150 serves as an inspiration for this model as the side profile, especially the fuel tank area, resembles the lightweight street fighter.
A rear specific image was also seen a few days before this image but, this one clears how the front fascia will look in the production version. Suzuki can also consider changing parts from this test mule and surprise everyone with an all-new design in the last days of testing.
The engine and exhaust layout are similar to other 150cc bikes of this category but, Suzuki Bandit 150 features a metal plate for heat protection. The fact also clears that they are preparing for a mild touring friendly option that can be used by first-time motorcycle buyers for mile munching in a sporty attire.
For India, Suzuki can use this design and branding to cover up their target of achieving 1 million sales by 2020. Bandit and Intruder are successful Suzuki trademarks worldwide and, latter has already got itself a 150cc variant in India.
Placing Suzuki Bandit 150 parallel to Intruder 150 can bring some real fun for premium sportbike lovers of India. For Indonesia, the motorcycle will use 149cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine, producing 19 BHP and 13.9 Nm of torque. This powerful motor is expected to arrive in India at a later stage.
