Suzuki Bikes at Auto Expo 2018: Suzuki India seems well prepared for the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. They are the ones to get maximum benefits from this show as their brand presence needs some more limelight for 2018. Recently spied Suzuki Burgman Street confirms that they have a long list of products waiting to see the daylight on Feb 7, 2018.
Burgman is a popular power scooter series and Street has been specially designed by keeping India in mind. The limited number of shots just gave us the glimpse from rear end while Auto Expo 2018 will witness the same in its production ready form.
Suzuki Burgman Street could get an official launch event at Auto Expo 2018 as the one spied here was ready with production spec paint on its body. Apart from that, fans will feel delighted to see the touring friendly GSX-250R at the show.
It will be showcased only as Suzuki has made a condition under which Indian arm needs to bring 1 million sales before 2020 to get their hands on lightweight and middleweight sport bikes in the country. That includes GSX-R150 and GSX-S150 too, both of which may get their first public debut in India at Auto Expo 2018.
Suzuki India is currently the seventh best selling brand in motorcycling segment. Their four wheeled cousins, Maruti Suzuki, are number one when it comes to sales. Both brands have completely different ways of dealing as Maruti enters every possible segment with multiple products for more sale while Suzuki Motorcycles just have a limited number of options in India.
Like Yamaha, they need to explore the 100 and 125cc segment in such a way that buyers feel comfortable with them. Without entering these segment, getting 1 million sales is almost impossible. Auto Expo 2018 will start on Feb 9 for general public while media days are starting from Feb 7. It is yet to be seen is Suzuki brings the all new 2018 range of shades for their popular Hayabusa in India.
