Suzuki has launched the much awaited Burgman Street in India for INR 68,000. The first maxi-scooter among conventional products, Burgman derives itself from older, a much more powerful lineup of scooters sold internationally. Burgman Street rivals Aprilia SR125, TVS NTorq, and Honda Grazia in the Indian market.
The two former options are sport-focused and available in a single variant while Grazia is available in three different variants. Majority of scooter sale comes from the smaller 110cc segment while 125cc options are gaining traction with practical engines and torque-rich nature. It shares parts with other Suzuki products, including the successful Gixxer series of motorcycles.
The headlight used here features position lights while rider gets two different seating positions through the extra-long foot-board. The cruiser style seating will enhance overall riding comfort. A class-leading taillight design with six LED’s look extremely grand.
Suzuki Burgman Street measures 1880mm in length, 675mm in width and 1140mm in height. The sharp rear-view mirrors are sourced from Gixxer while wheels are the same as those on Access 125. Buyers looking for a lower placed seat may get disappointed with 780mm of stock seat height. Burgman Street is undoubtedly the most expensive 125cc modern scooter.
