Suzuki Gixxer Double Disc Series Launched, Starts @ INR 79,726

After providing a benchmark to most of the 150 cc motorcycles of India, Suzuki Gixxer gets itself a variant with a rear disc brake for the naked, SF and SF Moto GP edition. Priced at INR 79,726 for the Gixxer 155, INR 87,373 for Gixxer SF, and INR 88,857 for Gixxer SF Moto GP edition, the motorcycle has become more valuable and safe than ever before. The game changer for Suzuki motorcycles India has become dearer by around INR 3000 from the single disc variants.

The engine powering the motorcycle is again the same 154.9 cc, 1-cylinder motor from the Gixxer series. It produces 14.6 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The gearbox remains the same 5-speed unit as well as mechanically keeping all the aspects same as before. The single tone Gixxer now comes in just two shades while the dual tone naked street bike gets a total of 3 shades, including the all new Black/Green combination. The motorcycle has actually started feeling much better than ever.

The Gixxer SF now comes in only two shades namely Red/Matt Black and Black/Matt Grey. The special Gixxer SF Moto GP Edition has no alteration to its exterior look. In total, Gixxer can now be availed in a total of 7 variants (4 single disc and 3 double disc):

The major competitors like TVS Apache RTR 160, Hero Xtreme Sports, Hunk, and Honda CB Hornet were offered with dual discs while Yamaha FZ would be the only competitor left with just a single disc option. The pricing of the bike makes it a favorable option while its excellent design makes it shine apart each bike on the competition list.
