The official brochure of the much-awaited Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 has leaked ahead of the launch in India on May 20. As expected, the upcoming 250cc sports bike is a full-faired motorcycle. The fairing of the motorcycle looks pretty neat, aerodynamic, and impressive in the first look. The SF 250 will most probably be equipped with an all-LED headlight and tail light.
The brochure features the Gixxer SF 250 in white colour with a big 250 sticker on the fairing with Gixxer SF graphic on the upper half of the fairing. The exhaust design is almost similar to the Gixxer SF 155 with a double-barrel layout with chrome elements. The instrument console image has not been leaked yet, but we can confirm that the SF 250 will most probably feature an improved version of the all-digital console of the 150cc Gixxer series.
As far as the technical specifications are concerned, the Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249cc, fuel injected, 4-valve, SOHC, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. It generates a maximum power of 26.5 HP at 9000 rpm with a maximum torque figure of 22.6 NM at 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is equipped with a single disc brake at the front with a single disc brake at the rear end. As per the brochure, the brand has not mentioned the exact size of the disc brakes. The sports bike will be equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 measures 2010mm in length, 740mm in width, and 1035mm in height. The wheelbase and ground clearance of the bike stands at 1345mm and 165mm respectively. The seat height is quite accessible at 800mm while the fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.
The kerb weight of the Gixxer SF 250 is 161kg, which makes is 6kgs lighter in comparison to the Honda CBR250R, and 4 kgs heavier in comparison to the oil-cooled Yamaha Fazer 25. The front tyre size is 110/70-R17 and the rear tyre size is 150/60-R17. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.50 lakh.
