Suzuki GSX-250R India Launch in 2019: Suzuki India is planning big as senior officials are considering the country to be the global hub for their GSX-250R. The same is much awaited product among Indian buyers and one could possibly fall in love with its touring friendly engine as well as ergonomics.
But all this comes with a bitter condition that is not actually impossible but requires much more input from Suzuki than the present situation. Senior officials demand sales report that could ensure them of more than 1 million yearly sales by April 2020.
Rounding off the figure and even counting good as well as bad days for Suzuki makes them good for almost good for 0.6 million in yearly sales. Taking this number to 1 million will take a lot of effort but still, 21 months of time is good enough to achieve this feat.
They were once selling half the number of units than present situation and expecting a million is not bad at all. Suzuki recently launched the Intruder 150cc cruiser in India and the brand also launched the ABS version of Gixxer 155 plus the CBS models of Access 125 and Access 125 Special Edition.
Apart from these updates, the brand is all-set to launch the Burgman Street 125 in India by the end of this month or early next month. It will most probably carry the same 125cc engine from the Access 125.
The highlight of this article and the most-awaited product is the 250cc GSX sport bike. Outside India, the quarter liter Gixxer is powered by 248cc, twin cylinder engine producing 24.7 BHP at 8000 rpm and 23.3 Nm at 6500 rpm. It weighs just 178 kg and thus, will keep riders happy at all times with power in everyday range.
If Suzuki launches the GSX-250R with a 2-cylinder engine in India, then it would be priced around INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it feel very expensive in comparison to the specifications you will getting. We think that Suzuki must develop a single cylinder engine specifically for the Indian market and price the bike around INR 1.50 lakhs if they really want to sell it in good numbers.
