2018 Indonesia Motor Show revealed another superstar product with Suzuki GSX-R150 ABS for their home market. The already available lightweight racer is now safer than ever, getting a dual channel variant for IDR 33.15 million (INR 1.60 lakh approx). The model remains exactly the same in terms of design and style, offering a light tail end for superport lovers. The 2019 variant seen here is finished in Red, carrying the Suzuki moniker all over its body. The model comes with visible ring within the petal disc brake at the front while the rear was not shown in any of the images available for the model.
Suzuki GSX-R150 also comes in two lower-priced variants, offering a Standard version for IDR 29.10 million (INR 1.41 lakh approx) and Key-less variant for IDR 30.10 million (INR 1.46 lakh approx). The model competes against Honda CBR150R, which also comes with ABS for the Indonesian market. GSX-R150 comes with Solid Black, Stronger Red, Titan Black, Metallic Triton Blue, and Brilliant White shade. The 147.3cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 19 BHP at 10500 rpm and 14 Nm at 9000 rpm. The gearbox stays 6-speed manual on all three models.
The bike still weighs 131 kg and carries 11-liter fuel tank. It will rival Yamaha R15 V3 if launched in the Indian market. Suzuki is yet to announce their plans for the lightweight performance products as they are yet to achieve their 1 million sales target by 2020. For India, they have launched the SP Edition of Intruder and Gixxer series, both counting under the unique shade category and carrying the same 155cc engine. If they launch the GSX-R150 ABS in India, Suzuki has a good chance of getting into the five-digit user base that Yamaha R15 V3 captures every month.
