Japanese manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycles recently unveiled their new Suzuki GSX-S750 at the Auto Expo 2018. This naked/street motorcycle is essentially the baby brother to the bigger and more menacing GSX-S1000. The bike mirrors the characteristics and aggressive stance of the GSX-S1000, along with some new styling and equipment that differentiates it from the latter.
Among a host of fascinating features, the new Suzuki GSX-S750 comes in both ABS and non-ABS derivatives along with a three-mode traction control system for different road conditions. But for India, Suzuki will launch the ABS model only. This new traction control system is expected to provide greater confidence and reduces fatigue by delivering control over engine output that helps prevent rear wheel spin.
As the bike is a downsized version of GSX-S1000, Suzuki GSX-S750 comes from a 749 cc, inline four-cylinder, fuel injected motor generating a maximum power output of 114 HP @ 10,500 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
With a peak torque of 81 NM @ 9000 rpm, the new Suzuki sits on a twin-spar aluminum cradle frame. The braking to this motorcycle is done with the help of twin 310 mm disc brakes at the front along with a single 220mm disc brake at the rear. Suzuki street rider rolls on 120/70-ZR17 front and 180/55-ZR17 rear tires that come with stylish alloy wheels.
With a total kerb weight of 213 kgs, the bike has been assisted with a 16-liter fuel tank. The model is likely to come in two color options of blue-grey and red-grey. The upcoming Suzuki GSX-S750 is expected to be priced close to INR 10 lakh. The new model is to compete with the rivals Kawasaki Z900 and Triumph Triple RS in India. Suzuki may soon dominate the superbike market with its wide range of options. The official launch will happen in March 2018.
