Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1400R Reportedly in the Making: As per the latest buzz, it is being reported again that Suzuki is working on the new generation model of the Hayabusa. Bennetts UK recently leaked a new set of patent images of the upcoming superbike, which has spiced up the rumours of its launch yet again. The much-anticipated hyperbike is expected to launch in the Indian market by the end of the year 2020 or in early 2021.
It is being speculated that Suzuki is also going to increase the engine displacement of the next-gen Hayabusa superbike. As per one of the recent reports, the Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1400R could be offered with two gearbox options, out of which one will be a 6-sped manual gearbox and the other one will be a semi-automatic transmission. The latest patent images of the new generation sports tourer also reveal that the upcoming model will be equipped with a gear lever spindle.
The GSX1400R is expected to inherit a few features from the GSX1300R like the frame, tyres, brakes, and the suspension setup. Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is currently not being retailed in most of the markets around the globe whereas the recent activities from the research and development department of the firm suggest that the next-gen model is under the development process by the brand.
A rumour was also fired up back in January when the company had filed a patent for a CO2 emission friendly exhaust engine and in one of the patent images, it was spotted attached to the heavily revised version of the already existing engine of the Hayabusa.
The Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R is currently available in India for INR 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price tag makes it one of the most affordable machines as compared to the other 200HP superbikes available in the Indian market.
The current-gen India-spec model of the Hayabusa generates a maximum power of 200HP and a peak torque of 155Nm. The superbike is available in two colour options namely Metallic Oort Grey and Glass Sparkle Black.
