Suzuki Intruder 150 has scored 4895 units in monthly sales report of February 2018. The number is pretty astonishing as most fans were reporting design mismatch between components of the motorcycle. Still, this number is higher than most popular products that we see on road.
Unfortunately, Suzuki Gixxer is going through a tough phase with 1559 units, lagging behind popular bikes by a huge margin. Segment rivals like Yamaha FZ and Honda CB Hornet 160R are selling multiple times the units than Gixxer and Gixxer SF. Suzuki Intruder 150 has recently got fuel injected variant for INR 1.07 lakh.
This model also comes with single channel ABS as standard. Intruder feels huge to the eye but basically, it carries same 154.9cc engine producing 14.6 BHP and 14 Nm. Most buyers are impressed with the throaty exhaust note of Intruder, giving it a true cruiser feel in terms of aural presence.
It gets low seat height and thus, buyers don’t need to worry about their built before going for this motorcycle. Also, the handlebar and foot-peg position is so easy that one can ride it all day without feeling stressed at sensitive joints. It seems like Suzuki has got the right mixture of performance and comfort for India.
Intruder rivals Bajaj Avenger series in India but in terms of performance, it falls below the benchmark set by Avenger 220 on Indian highways. The fuel injected model is priced at a much higher point and may not find as many buyers as carburetor fed model.
