Suzuki recently introduced its Gixxer SF 250 in the Indian market and the company is also planning to launch its naked version in the coming months. As per the latest rumours, the company will also be working on a 250cc cruiser motorcycle that will share its mechanical specifications with the newly launched Gixxer SF 250. A source report claims that the upcoming quarter-litre motorcycle will be known as Suzuki Intruder 250.
The 'SRK Designs' recently created a rendered image of the motorcycle that shows what it could look like. The rendering of the bike reveals that it shares its looks with its 155cc younger sibling. However, the upcoming Intruder 250 will come in a pack with a revised list of features that will include a full LED headlight, a revised shape for the exhaust, more comfortable seats, and a better instrument console.

The exhaust of the bike in the rendered image looks like the one that is there in the Gixxer SF 250. Previously,
Suzuki didn't have a 250cc engine for India but with the launch of the SF 250, the brand now has an opportunity to use the same engine in their upcoming 250cc products for the Indian market.
The fully-faired Gixxer SF 250 comes with a 249cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, oil-cooled, 4-valve engine that produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated with a six-speed gearbox. The Intruder 250 will get the same engine but it is expected that the brand will tune it to make it more suitable to meet the requirements of a cruiser motorcycle.

Coming to other specifications of the cruiser model, we can expect it to come with conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear. For safety purposes, the bike will come featured with front and rear disc brakes along with a dual-channel ABS unit.
Though Gixxer SF 250 is not BSVI compliant, the cruiser model is expected to arrive with the latest emission norms. Also, the company could reveal the bike at the Auto Expo in February 2020, and deliveries of the bike can be commenced around April 2020. The Intruder 250 is expected to be priced around INR 1.80-1.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
