Suzuki has launched the special edition for their slow-selling cruiser in India. Intruder SP, as the brand calls this version, is priced at INR 1,00,500 for the carburetor fed version and INR 1,07,300 for the top-spec fuel injected version. The special edition variant comes with a price bump of INR 505 over the standard and INR 404 over the fuel injected variant. Suzuki is offering a pillion backrest as standard with both the models. As with other SP variants, this one also comes with a unique paint finish. The brand offers metallic matte black with red highlights on the motorcycle.
The cruiser is a typical matte black beast with just one clear red line flowing from the Intruder batch to the rear end. Suzuki offers a gloss black shade with the standard model, pleasing lovers of matte black shade for the first time in the below INR 1 lakh segment. They have been offering such bold shades with bigger sportbikes but, tried their hand on a mass market product for the first time. Even the Gixxer series has not yet received a matte black treatment. The drop in sales for the Intruder is the only reason why they focused on this side.
Suzuki Intruder SP is powered by a 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine, producing 14.6 HP at 8000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The availability of single-channel ABS is standard across Intruder models. Not just that, even the Gixxer and Gixxer SF bikes are available with optional ABS.
