Top 10 Scooters in India | Sales Report: October 2017 was an average month for scooter sales in India. It seems as India was finished with the festive shopping in September 2017 and October proved nothing more than few thousands in overall raise. Honda Activa was India’s highest selling scooter with 2,59,071 units moving out in those 31 days.

That’s still a huge number when compared to the second highest selling TVS Jupiter with 81,326 units. Jupiter has been a successful product in overall terms as it was once limited to just 60,000 units last year. It will be the next big thing to cross the 1 lakh mark in India.

Hero Maestro came third with 46,799 units. This shows the rise of Hero MotoCorp in the gear-less segment. If someone asks for a clear view of Indian two wheeler market, Hero comes first when gears are involved while Honda has clearly maintained a huge gap in gear-less sector.

Suzuki Access 125 is the highest selling product in the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup with 38,300 units. The quality of this product is unmatched and premium scooter lovers never give Suzuki a miss before considering a new machine. Yamaha Fascino follows the same story and sold 24,785 units for the fifth position.

Hero Duet followed close with 21,515 units while Yamaha Ray is another successful product with 16,694 units. Honda Dio follows close for the eighth spot with 15,682 units. Hero Pleasure ranks ninth with 12,221 units while TVS Pep+ sold a total of 11,288 units for the tenth position.

The large gap between Honda Activa and other scooters proves that the Japanese manufacturer is in no mood to lose even a single unit to any other brand. Their ratio is almost 50:50 as Honda Activa is actually one of every 2 scooters sold in India presently.
