Best-Selling 250cc-500cc Bikes in India: The Indian market has reached a praiseworthy maturity level with 250-500cc bikes claiming top selling spots and proving their worth through these huge numbers. This segment is ruled by Classic 350 with 52,075 units. It’s nothing less than a miracle for India as this one comes priced at INR 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom) for the dual disc variant.
Bullet 350 comes next with 13,816 units for both standard and ES variant. The third and fourth position also goes to Royal Enfield bikes. Thunderbird 350 was good for 3772 units while Classic 500 brought 3037 buyers into the brand.
Yamaha FZ25 comes next with 1908 units and claim the fifth position among top-selling 250-500cc bikes. Bajaj Dominar got 1373 buyers while Himalayan (1029 units) was the last bike to claim four-digit sales number.
TVS Apache RR 310 became popular in a short span of time and got a better position in comparison to KTM 390 Series (800 units). KTM 250 Duke could have performed better but it only got 669 units in April 2018. Honda CBR250R also claimed 559 units during the same period. Royal Enfield Bullet 500 followed close with 489 units while Thunderbird 500 was the last product to claim three-digit sales figure with 409 buyers.
Yamaha R3 got 88 buyers in April 2018 while Mahindra could only get 41 units of Mojo out of their dealerships. Apart from these 15 bikes, Kawasaki had a bad time with Ninja 300 selling just 2 units and Z250 claiming 1 unit in April 2018. Versys 300 could not even score a single unit.
