Top 20 best-selling scooters of March 2018 have a different trend when compared to top bikes of the same month. Brands that were not seen in those list are present here in considerable numbers.
Honda is market leader of scooters with 2,07,536 units of Activa sold in those 31 days. Even the closest rival Jupiter is miles away at 65,308 units. Hero Maestro sold 39,369 units while Suzuki Access stood fourth with 36,555 units.

Honda Dio stood fifth with 32,961 units. Hero Duet and Pleasure were good for 20,738 and 18,782 units respectively. Honda Grazia, the premium 125cc scooter, sold 16,481 units during this period.
Yamaha Fascino and Ray were their best sellers with 15,944 and 12,600 units respectively. TVS Pep+ brought 11,779 units in March 2018 while NTorq, the recently launched premium scooter, scored 11,500 units.
Apart from these 12 options, no other scooter could score five digit sale number. Honda Aviator and TVS Zest got more than 5k units while Piaggio Vespa, TVS Wego, Yamaha Alpha and Aprilia SR150 were last ones with four digit numbers.
SR125 recently made an entry into top sellers with 834 units in March 2018 while Suzuki Let’s was good for 100 less at 734 units during last month of FY 2017-18 in India.
