Top 20 Bikes (150cc-500cc Segment): The 150-500cc segment is dominated by single-cylinder motorcycles, leaving both Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha R3 out due to their higher ex-showroom pricing. The Apache RR310, Honda CBR250R and many other premium and reliable options could not make into this list due to lack of numbers. Bajaj Pulsar is a segment leader with 90,363 units while Royal Enfield Classic scores second position with 47,386 units.
The numbers seen here include different engine variants like 346cc and 499cc for Royal Enfield and multiple engines for Pulsar, Apache, FZ, R15, Unicorn, Avenger, Xtreme and almost every possible model on the list. TVS Apache got 41,396 buyers in October 2018 while Yamaha FZ was good for 26,896 units, including those from the Fazer variant. Honda Unicorn is the fifth highest selling motorcycle with 25,993 units.
Royal Enfield has an impressive share in 150-500cc segment, dominating the entire market of motorcycles above 300cc displacement. Bajaj Avenger has respectable numbers for a typical cruiser while Honda has witnessed a drop in sales for both Hornet and xBlade. Suzuki has Gixxer series for motorcycle dominance while KTM 200cc bikes are still selling in impressive numbers. Last five products on this list have witnessed a huge fall in their popularity.
