The brand ‘Pulsar’ has made its place in the Indian market due to its affordability and performance. The new Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has even increased its brand value. This full faired two-wheeler giant features a decent styling with a noticeable busy design. The motorcycle gets the same powerplant as for Pulsar 200NS but with a fuel-injected version. Fuel-injection leads to a crisper throttle response and helps to curb the cold starting problems and also result in hike in power output marginally.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine capable to churn 24.2 BHP of power @ 9,750 rpm against a torque of 18.6 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. It has a six-speed gearbox for power transmission to the rear-wheel. The bike features the same suspension, brakes and frame as on Pulsar 200NS. Also, to add on its features, Pulsar RS200 offers an option for ABS which makes it first bike by Bajaj to have ABS. The bike offers a top speed of 140.8 kmph and gives a mileage of 35-45 kmpl (approx.). The downside of the bike is its high kerb weight of 165 kg and its styling. Otherwise, the bike excels in engine performance and offers a good handling as well.
