Tork Motors has finally introduced the Kratos electric bike in the country six years after its announcement. Previously known as the Tork T6X during its development stage, the new Tork Kratos is now available in two versions: Base and R. The base model costs Rs 1,92,499, while the R model costs Rs 2,07,499 (both prices ex-showroom, Pune). After accounting for FAME-II subsidies provided by both the national government and a few state governments, these prices fall even further.
Speaking of the deliveries of the motorcycles, in phase one, the Tork Kratos is only available in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. However, by the end of phase 2, there will be 100 cities. The Tork Kratos has a sharp design language and gets an all-LED headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, as well as a fully digital instrument console. The Tork Kratos also features Y-themed alloy wheels, split seats, a rear tyre hugger and split pillion grab rails.
Moreover, the R variant comes in four colour options: white, black, red, and blue, while the base variant is available only in white. In terms of powertrain, the standard Tork Kratos’ electric motor is tailored to produce a maximum power output of 7.5kW, or 10.05bhp, and a maximum torque of 28Nm. The R model, on the other hand, produces 9kW (12.06bhp) and 38Nm of peak torque. Both models are powered by a 4kWH, IP67-certified lithium-ion battery pack with an IDC range of 180km.
The Tork Kratos has a classic chassis with a trellis frame and suspension consisting of hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Both ends of the motorcycle are equipped with disc brakes, which support a combined braking system (CBS), which is standard on both variants.
