2018 Triumph Tiger 800 has been officially launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 11.76 lakh. They have listed almost 200 small and medium level changes on this bike. They have used a reworked engine and transmission combo, added riding mode on top spec variant and new LED lights that are equipped with LED daytime running lights.
The handlebar was raised further for better sitting position while five step adjustable windscreen makes life even better in different riding conditions. Triumph is offering all new LCD console that is also available on 2018 Street Triple. They are now using five way toggle button for multiple functions of this console.
Tiger 800 XR range comes with alloy wheels while XC uses spoke wheels for better off-road control. Tiger 800 is powered by a three cylinder, 800cc unit producing 94 BHP and 79 NM of torque. They have given shorter first gear for better off-road control.
ABS is switchable for the rear wheel while Triumph now offers a lighter and compact exhaust. Indian market will get three variants for Triumph Tiger 800 and both others are priced at INR 13.13 lakh (XRx) and INR 13.76 lakh (XCx) respectively. It rivals Ducati Multistrada 950 and BMW F750GS in India.
