2020 Triumph Rocket 3 Launched in India @ INR 18 Lakh

The much-awaited 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 has been officially launched in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 18 lakh for the Rocket 3 R variant. For now, the brand has only launched the R model in India and it is expected that Triumph will launch the GT model at a later stage.

Based on a power cruiser-inspired designing traits, the R variant of the motorcycle has been offered a roadster design language while the GT variant is more of a touring-based machine. Both the motorcycle variants have been equipped with a fully-digital TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity.

Featuring a flat handlebar unit, the brand has further equipped the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 R with blacked-out alloy wheels while the footpegs are positioned neutrally at the centre. The customers can avail the motorcycle in Phantom Black and Korosi Red colour variants.

On the other hand, the Triumph Rocket 3 GT has been equipped with a tall windscreen at the front in addition to getting a touring inspired handlebar, pillion backrest, and forward-set footpegs. The kerb weight of the Rocket 3 R scales at 291kgs while the GT version is a little bulkier with its kerb weight at 294kgs.

2020 Triumph Rocket R GT is Expected to Launch in India Next Year

Once launched in India, the Triumph Rocket R GT can be further availed in Phantom Black shade as well as a dual-tone Silver Ice & Storm Grey colour variant equipped with Korosi Red pinstripe detailing.

Powering both the R and GT variants of 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 is a 2458cc, inline-three cylinder engine that is capable of offering a maximum power output of 167HP @ 6,000 rpm and an utmost torque of 221Nm @ 4,000 rpm.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by adjustable Showa 47mm upside-down forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a remote preload-adjustable Showa monoshock suspension.

The braking power on the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 is handled by 320mm dual disc brakes at the front mated to Brembo callipers while the rear tyre has been equipped with a single 300mm Brembo disc brake. The electronics package offered to the motorcycle variants features hill control assist, traction control as well as dual-channel ABS as standard. The Triumph Rocket 3 competes in the market with the likes of the new-gen models of the Ducati Diavel and XDiavel.
