Triumph has officially unveiled the Daytona 765 Moto2 limited-edition motorcycle. The production model of the motorcycle was unveiled at a press conference at the GoPro British Grand Prix at Silverstone, England at a price tag of GBP 15,765 (approx Rs 13.83 lakh). The present-gen Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 is based on Triumph’s learning at Moto2.
As per the reports, the motorcycle has a limited run with only 1530 production units, making it one of the most special motorcycles to be ever made. The all-new Triumph Daytona 765 Moto2 was specifically designed in two versions, one for the European and Asian markets and the second one for the US and Canadian markets.
Both the motorcycles are inspired by Moto2 inspired 765cc triple-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 130 HP at 12,250 rpm and a peak torque of 80 Nm at 9,750 rpm. The motorcycle offers the highest power and torque coefficients ever offered by a 765cc machine. On the other hand, the 765cc engine used on the Triumph Street Triple RS generates a maximum power of 121 HP.
The limited-edition race paint scheme in addition to premium equipment makes the Moto2 edition one of the most powerful and stunning bikes ever made. The brand has claimed that the Daytona Moto2 765 with updated cam profile and an increased compression ratio can touch the 13,250 rpm.
The brand has opted for a lighter mainframe as well as swingarm while the full carbon fibre work done on the motorcycle has made it get lesser weight and better power-to-weight ratio. The braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by Brembo Stylema brakes while it gets fully-adjustable suspension by Ohlins at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear.
The limited-edition Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 is expected to hit the Indian markets in March 2020, though, the limited production will make the bike available to only a few lucky customers.
