The much-awaited 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 has been officially launched in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.40 lakh. The BS6-compliant model of the sportbike is priced INR 12,000 higher in comparison to the BS4 model, which was available for INR 2.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the addition of a new dual-tone black/grey colour combination, the 2020 Apache RR 310 looks more or less the same in comparison to the BS4 model of the bike.

The updated model of the RR 310 continues to be powered by the same 312.2cc single-cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 34HP @ 9,700 rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm @ 7,700 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 will come with a five-year warranty as standard.

One of the major updates offered to the 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 is the addition of a coloured TFT all-digital instrument console that features TVS SmartXonnect connectivity technology. It allows the riders to pair their smartphone to the screen and run a number of functions via the TVS Connect App. Here are the key features of the 2020 Apache RR 310's new instrument console:

- Incoming Caller’s Details
- User can also Accept or Reject the Call
- Users can also Record, View and Share Ride Statistics
- Vehicle Health Alerts (Fuel Level, Service Due and ABS Malfunction)

- Ambient Light Sensor for Day/Night Settings
In addition to the key features mentioned above, the all-digital console displays a speedometer, an odometer, a tachometer, a digital clock, a fuel gauge, trip meters, riding modes, coolant temperature, top speed, fuel range, low-fuel warning, service indicator, ABS light, neutral light and more.

The 2020 Model of Apache RR 310 Gets All-New Coloured Instrument Console[/caption]
In addition to the updated console, TVS has also equipped the 2020 model of the Apache RR 310 with throttle-by-wire technology, which has further allowed the brand to offer the sportbike with four riding models namely Rain, Urban, Sport, and Track. In Rain and Urban mode, the power and torque values of the motorcycle drop to 25.8HP @ 7,600rpm and 25Nm @ 6,700rpm respectively. The top speed also falls to 125kmph from 160kmph.

On the BS6 2020 model of the Apache RR 310, TVS Motor has also replaced the Michelin Pilot Street tyres with much-better Michelin Road 5 tyres for better traction and grip levels. Like the RTR 200 4V, the brand has also equipped the 2020 RR 310 with the Glide Through Technology+ (GTT+) feature with creep function, which allows the rider to keep moving without the need of feeding any throttle.

Due to the changes and additional features, the kerb weight of the motorcycle has increased by 4.5kgs and it now stands at 174kg. The BS6-compliant model of the Apache RR 310 is now available at the exclusive TVS dealerships while the deliveries are expected to commence very soon.
