In addition to launching the BS6 variant of the RTR 160 4V, the brand has also launched the 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V at a price tag of INR 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle is already available with the dealerships while the bookings have been commenced from today. The brand has offered minimal cosmetic changes to the motorcycle in addition to equipping it with a BS6-compliant engine.
In terms of the design language, the RTR 200 4V now features a redesigned front end with the addition of new sporty graphics on the side panels. The brand has further equipped the motorcycle with an all-new LED headlight setup while the handlebar is now mated to redesigned claw-styled aerodynamic mirrors.
The updated motorcycle also features a low-speed riding mode known as GTT (Glide Through Traffic). The rider can use the all-new riding mode for low-speed urban riding which offers better handling on the road and improves the performance.
The 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been further equipped with an updated feather touch start system in addition to getting a wave-bite ignition key as well as claw-styled position lamps which offer better illumination. The motorcycle has been equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard in addition to getting RLP (Rear wheel Lift-off Protection) control.
Powering the motorcycle is the same 197.75cc oil-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve engine though, being BS6-compliant, the torque generated by the motorcycle has declined a bit. The engine is now capable to develop a maximum power of 20.5HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 16.8Nm @ 7500 rpm.
In comparison to the BS6 model, the BS4 variant of the motorcycle was good for an utmost torque of 18.1Nm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The customers can avail the 2020 BS6 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in Gloss Black and Pearl White colour options.
