2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Launched @ INR 93,500

The BS6 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has been recently launched in India at a price tag of INR 93,500 (ex-showroom) for the front disc brake variant while the rear disc brake variant will now be available in the market at a price tag of INR 96,500 (ex-showroom). Both the motorcycle variants have been priced with a premium of INR 5000 over their BS4 versions.

Powering the updated motorcycle is a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is now capable of offering maximum power of 15.3HP and a peak torque of 13.9Nm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures have significantly improved for the motorcycle with the addition of a fuel-injected engine that replaces the carburetted engine equipped on its BS4 counterpart. To jog your memory, the BS4-compliant Apache RTR 160 2V was good for 15HP of power and 13Nm of maximum torque.

In addition to this, the brand has equipped the BS6 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V with TVS’ Glide Through Technology (GTT) which allows the rider to enjoy a much smoother ride even in harsh traffic conditions. Though the motorcycle has not been imparted with any designing updates, the addition of new graphics further offers it a fresher appeal.

The motorcycle continues to feature a conventional headlamp design mated to position lamps while the fuel tank capacity also remains the same at 12-litres. The motorcycle has been equipped with a similar LED tail lamp setup while the semi-digital instrument cluster also remains the same as compared to the BS4 variant.

The suspension duties on the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V continues to be handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear features dual shock absorbers. The brakes are further mated to a single-channel ABS as standard. The recently updated motorcycle will be available in the market in six colour variants namely Pearl White, Matte Blue, Matte Red, Gloss Black, Gloss Red, and T Grey.
