TVS Motor has recently launched the 2020 TVS Apache RTR series with BS6-compliant engines. The 2020 model of the RTR 160 4V is now available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.01 lakh for the drum brake variant and INR 1.04 lakh for the disc brake variant.
On the other hand, the BS6 model of the Apache RTR 200 4V is available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.25 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. The bookings for the motorcycles are already open while the deliveries have been delayed to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. TVS Motor has recently also released the official TV commercial of the 2020 Apache RTR series.
Both the motorcycles feature new sporty body graphics in addition to getting an all-new LED headlight and new claw-styled aerodynamic mirrors. The brand has equipped the motorcycles with Race Tuned Fuel injection (RT-Fi) technology and a low-speed riding mode known as GTT (Glide Through Traffic) for better handling over the Indian roads.
Powering the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a 159.7cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve BS6 engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 16.02 HP @ 8250 rpm and a peak torque of 14.12 Nm @ 7250 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
On the other hand, the 197.75cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, BS6 engine on 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is now good for a maximum power of 20.5 HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 16.8 Nm @ 7500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed transmission.
