Following the virtual invite that TVS sent to all media houses all over the country. Today they announced the release of updated models of their older-generation Apache 160 and 180 in India.
The basic design and style language has remained untouched, but the motorcycle has received some very interesting feature upgrades. LED headlamp and tail lamp, wider tyre, gear shift and position indicator to name a few.
The most significant change is the addition of a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity via SmartXonnect. This means you’ll see a lot of information on the screen, including turn-by-turn navigation. TVS also equipped the updated Apache 180 with three ride modes namely, Sport, Urban and Rain.
The updated Apache 180 generates 17.02 PS at 8500 rpm of maximum power and 15.50 Nm at 7000 rpm of peak torque. TVS offers the Apache 180 with the same 177cc single-cylinder engine. This represents a 0.23 PS increase over the previous model. TVS also claims to have reduced the overall weight of the motorcycle by 1 kg.
Bookings for the motorcycle begin today, and it comes in two colours: White and Black. TVS asks a price of Rs 1,30,590 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the new Apache RTR 180.
With all of the aforementioned features, the new Apache 180 costs Rs 1.31 lakh, a nearly Rs 10,000 (Rs 9900) increase over the previous model. This shifts its position within the Apache range. The Apache 180, which was previously priced below the Apache 160 4V, is now more expensive.
