While most people are eyeing on the launch of TVS-BMW’s G310R but many eyes are also set on the TVS’s Akula. While BMW has already come up with its first commercial for G310R and it is now expected to be launched by March 2017 in India, there are still no reports stating the production of the Akula 310. BMW G310R would be manufactured at TVS plant in Hosur in Tamil Nadu state of India.
The TVS Akula 310 is expected to be powered by the same engine as in BMW G310R. Reports from sources reveal that Akula is only the name of the concept and the production variant would be entitled as ‘Apache 300’. We can expect a power output of 30-32 Bhp from this TVS’s sportbike, and it is going to be the 1st full-faired motorcycle by TVS.
Akula 310 Production Model will be named TVS Apache 300
We can also expect the production version of the TVS Akula 310 to be bulkier as compared to its sleek concept. Being from the Apache family, the Apache 300 is expected to carry the same dynamism. It is expected to be launched in November somewhere near Diwali with an on-road price between Rs. 2.00-2.20 lakhs. Some reports also suggest that Apache 300 would be launched in January 2017. For now, BMW G310R would only be exported to European markets as an entry-level bike for female riders and amateurs.
