As expected, the Bluetooth-enabled TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been officially launched by the brand at a price tag of INR 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle gets a premium of INR 3000 when compared to the standard model of the Apache RTR 200, which is available for INR 1.11 lakh.
The brand has now revised the digital display panel which now features a different layout. The customers can connect their smartphone with the new display setup via the dedicated TVS Connect application, which is available on the iOS App store as well as on the Google Play store.
The brand has equipped the application with multiple features which further includes turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS notification, lean angle mode, crash alert, tour mode, race telemetry and more.
The smartphone’s gyroscopic sensor is capable of determining the rider’s lean-angle while displaying it at the notification panel. The Race Telemetry feature is further used to specify the ride dynamics and data collected after every ride. In addition to this, the crash alert is triggered whenever the chances of a fall are sensed by the application. The crash alert system further sends the rider’s exact location to the pre-defined emergency contact numbers within just 180 seconds.
Apart from the new Bluetooth-enabled console, the brand has also replaced the standard chain with a golden-colour chain on the updated model of the RTR 200 4V. Mechanically, there are no changes and the motorcycle continues to be powered by the 197.7cc single-cylinder BS4-compliant oil-cooled engine.
