Electric TVS Scooter with a Solar Roof in the Making

The sketch belonging to an electric TVS scooter with a solar roof has surfaced online through a post by BikeWale. It can safely be called one of the prototypes among multiple two-wheelers that will arrive from the electric and hybrid division of TVS Motor.

The project is focusing on personal clean transportation and using both solar as well as electric power means the rider will have no worry regarding the power at all times. The prototype is based on the personal use setup for now but soon, the tech could move to the commercial vehicle segment for ease of implementation and drop in the cost of part production for solar-powered products.

TVS is said to be working on products that are safer than traditional two-wheelers in terms of technology and strength. All-electric products are popular in some countries and soon after the tech becomes feasible, the Indian market can also help in reducing the air pollution through mass market use of electric as well as hybrid products.

The massive number of scooters sold by TVS and other manufacturers count considerably into the clean environment pledge as if all of them become electric-powered, the total harmful gas emissions can go down by a considerable margin in a matter of few months only.

However, the rising demand for electricity must be fulfilled through safe sources like sunlight and nuclear energy. If burning coal to facilitate the use of electric vehicles is the plan, it would be definitely better to use petrol instead.

The electric TVS scooter with a solar roof is said to use lightweight materials for the upper section and will further focus on riding comfort for both the passengers as range may not be a big problem as seen on the current electric scooters available in India. The production for such examples by TVS Motor will only start once the market is ready for adoption and green energy is available in abundance.
